King of the Ranges - Stockman's Challenge
The Stockman’s Challenge showcases the traditional skills of Australian stockmen & women through an exciting competition.

Upper Hunter Horse Festival
A 16 day salute to all things ‘equine’ in and around Scone – ‘Horse Capital of Australia’.

With a Street Parade, Antique Fair, Fetes, Markets, Horse Racing, Stud Tours, Fireworks over the Lake as a grand finale; this Festival is a must see for all the family!

Upper Hunter Wine and Food Affair
The Upper Hunter Wine and Food Affair, created by the Denman Chamber of Commerce,  has become known as the Hunter Valley's "Best Street Party".

Fantastic free live bands, entertainment for the children, and street theatre.

Merriwa Festival of the Fleeces
Festival of the Fleeces is 3 days of family fun and entertainment. The Festival is Merriwa's largest event attracting over 5000 visitors from all over the state who come to experience the country event.

The traditional Running of the Sheep will lead the Saturday parade which is a sight not to miss, with 200 hundred sheep in red socks run down the main street in Merriwa.

Aberdeen Highland Games
The Games are a gathering of bands, clans, dancers, heavy events competitors, state, interstate and local tug-of-war teams, Scottish and Celtic stall holders from Sydney and regional New South Wales and interstate to celebrate the Scottish history of the Upper Hunter.

It is the final event of Scottish Australia Heritage Council's Heritage Week.
